Are you wondering if "Affordable Jet Ownership" is:
Too Good to be True?
Many wonder if our numbers for
"Affordable Jet Ownership" can actually be achieved. Understandable,
since before now, the cost of traveling by private jet was very
expensive. Today, however, there are a few new developments:
-
Introduction of the VLJ:
The Very Light
Jet (VLJ) is a new aircraft category. The purchase price of
an Eclipse 500 Jet is only $2,150,000 (base price), rather than
over $5 million for jet aircraft at the next category level.
-
Fractional Jet Ownership:
Purchase a share in one aircraft and get access to a fleet.
Considerably less expensive than sole ownership and more
accessible than charter. The math is simple: If you divide the
$2,150,000 purchase price of an Eclipse 500 by 8, you arrive at
$268,750. Hence the cost of purchasing
a 1/8 share ownership interest in an Eclipse 500 Jet with
Jet-Alliance. The purchase price does not include the 4˝% program fee (covers
marketing costs), or any applicable taxes.
-
Shared-Ownership Program:
Eliminates the many “fingers in the pie” typically found in the
fractional ownership business model. There are no surprises and
no hidden fees. This true Shared-Ownership alternative was
developed by a small group of business professionals and
families of moderate wealth who organized to provide for the
ownership of private jets at a reasonable cost. Our formula
provides for owners to pay only those costs associated with
their ownership and usage, discounted by the fleet's economies of
scale. We all benefit by the participation of one another.
Here again the math is simple: Our estimated cost of ongoing
ownership for an Eclipse 500 aircraft is less than $24,000 per
month to cover insurance, taxes, pilot salaries, hangars,
administration, etc. Divide this number by 8 and you arrive at
the monthly cost of under $3,000 for the 1/8 ownership interest;
substantially lower than the $12,000 – 14,000 charged by
traditional fractional programs for their 1/8 shares. And with
Jet-Alliance, the Fixed Monthly Cost is further reduced by
charter revenues which accrue to the benefit of Owners.
The Hourly Rate reflects the same premise: The cost to operate
an Eclipse is $875 per hour. This covers fuel, and JetComplete
(airframe
maintenance and engine reserves). The Fixed Monthly Costs and the Hourly Rate
already include a 9% fee for administration earned by
Jet-Alliance.
Jet-Alliance offers a variety of new VLJ
aircraft, including the Eclipse 500, the Cessna Citation Mustang,
the Phenom 100 and the HondaJet. Hopefully, you can see now that "Affordable Jet
Ownership" isn’t too good to be true. Together we benefit from the
new technologies and cost savings of the VLJ category of aircraft
combined with a true shared ownership business model designed to
serve the best interests of the aircraft owners.
Thank you for considering Jet-Alliance as your partner in
